Part time – IT Help Desk Officer

The Role:

An opportunity has arisen for an IT help desk officer to join our team. Accountable to all stakeholders (employees, clients and investors) for the following key objectives:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for staff members seeking technical assistance within the Sydney office or remotely in Australia and overseas
    • Providing desktop support to PCs and thin clients & laptops
    • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with MS Operating Systems, related hardware and MS 365 suite of products
    • Ensure proper recording, documentation and closure of tickets raised
  • Client first level support for the EvolvWhite software products
    • Provide first level contact, investigate, troubleshoot and convey resolutions to customer queries
    • Tracking, routing and redirecting to correct resources for resolution
    • Ensure proper recording, documentation and closure of tickets raised
  • Assist Head of Technology in delivery installation, training and implementation of the Evolv product range as required
  • Provide support to the business in the delivery of a wide range of IT projects
  • Complete User Acceptance Testing as directed for the EvolvWhite software products
  • Assist in the development of online FAQs, knowledge base, training videos and other learning content
  • Continually participate in self-learning, in conjunction with formal training, to ensure skills are continually developed to ensure ease of providing service to our customers and staff
  • Other ad hoc projects or related activities to above as directed by the Head of Technology
  • Standard hours of work are expected to be 12.30pm to 8.30pm Monday to Friday, with infrequent weekend work required.

The Ideal Candidate:

To be regarded for this opportunity, you will possess the following skills:

  • 1 year proven experience in helpdesk support, or technical software support role. This role is not suitable for a call centre style support person. You must be able to work towards a solution and be able to multi-task while doing so
  • Demonstrated strong technical skills in desktop operating systems, software installation and troubleshooting
  • Tertiary education, diploma, degree qualification or equivalent OR currently studying towards
  • An understanding of the finance / accounting industry. Experience in the industry a distinct advantage
  • Be a self-starter as reporting lines will likely be located in another office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced problem solving skills
  • Adapt to a fast-changing work environment, taking on new challenges whenever necessary
  • Excellent time-management and organisation skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours where required
  • Ability to be self-taught in a variety of software applications

Full Time – Senior SMSF Auditor

The Role:

Due to recent company growth an opportunity has arisen for another senior SMSF auditor to join the team. This role offers career growth opportunities to the right candidate.

The primary responsibilities:

  • Complete Manager reviews for audits completed by other more junior auditors;
  • Complete audit finalisations or “end to end” audits as directed – mainly for medium or high risk funds;
  • Assist with facilitation, sign off and execution (as required) of any audit training for auditors;
  • Support the delivery of all service requirements relating to the completion of audits for clients;
  • Involvement in the setting, reviewing and monitoring of audit procedures to ensure it consistently adheres to best practice;
  • Mentoring – all audit staff.

The Ideal Candidate:

To be regarded for this interesting opportunity, you will have solid SMSF experience. In addition to this you will possess some or all of the following:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in auditing SMSFs, or 8+ years relevant experience;
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting and completed or working toward CA/CPA/IPA/SPAA qualifications;
  • If not already, considering registering to become an ASIC registered signing SMSF Auditor;
  • Mature and professional outlook;
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Intermediate to advanced IT experience and common sense;
  • Strong working knowledge of the SIS Act;
  • Alignment with the organisation’s culture and internal values
  • Ability to effectively manage your time, prioritise work and multitask;
  • Well-developed IT skills.
