About the Role
We’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller specialising in professional services. You’ll be responsible for managing our financial and corporate operations, leading and developing a team, and playing a pivotal role in maintaining company’s financial health and ensuring strict regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will also contribute significantly to company’s operational efficiency and strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in review of deals and proposals to assess their financial viability and alignment with the business strategy
- Collaborate with external financiers, accountant, investors, insurers, suppliers, regulators and internal clients
- Prepare and review of legal documentation, insurances, and business applications in conjunction with external legal and professional advisors
- Full financial control of financial statements and general reporting, cash flow, budgeting, working capital
- Governance – risk management, regulatory and legal compliance, for Australian and overseas operations
- Provide analysis and strategic insights and recommendations to the Stakeholder Group
- Lead and mentor the finance and corporate services team to cultivate a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and automation
About you
- 8+ years’ experience in professional service environment (ideal)
- CA/CPA qualified
- Proven ability to develop and manage complex budgets, create accurate financial forecasts, and conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Strategic thinker and inspirational leader able to motivate and guide team members
