Why we value auditing Class funds?

Nov, 2025

As auditors we are often asked about the type of documentation required  for audit purposes. The answer to this depends on the software employed to support the administration of your SMSF services.

If you are a Class user, the Class Super integrated platform streamlines the audit process to improve the effectiveness of the audit and minimise the amount of additional information required by the auditor.

For Evolv, some key features of the Class Super design that are valuable to us as auditors include;

  • Available APIs, and Datafeeds;
  • Automation that supports processing of data and data integrity checks;
  • Integrated standard templates; and
  • A control environment that is supported by an annual ASAE3402 report.

The Class design supports the ease of the audit of automated assets. For Evolv clients, our audit software maximises the use of this by importing Class available data and reports via API’s. This improves the effectiveness of the audit process by:

  • Automating the effective interrogation of detailed data, and its summarisation;
  • Minimising documentation required;
  • Reducing audit queries; and
  • Improving audit turnaround time frame

Where documentation is required for the audit, we offer flexibility in how we access this documentation. Clients are able to provide enquiry access to their DMS.  This is a seamless integration when the Class DMS is used. Alternatively, this documentation can be provided by dropping the file to our Client Portal.

As a Class Audit Partner, we are actively engaged with Class. This supports our understanding of the Class software latest enhancements, and the future development pipeline. Our technical, technology and development team plan how we incorporate Class updates to continuously improve the effectiveness of our audit service delivery. Our objective is to maximise our integration with Class to save our clients time and hassle.
